Non Permanent Observatory
At my observation place (my house), I do not have a good chance to build a fixed observatory, well using a dome or a roll off roof. Also, a fixed pier is not possible to install without disturbing the place.
Another issue is the fact is that my telescope is not completely computerized and does not allow the slewing and centering of celestial objects in automatic or remote way.

The coordinates of my observation place are Latitude 10º 26” North - Longitude 66º 53” West.

In order to get a precise polar alignment on my setup, I made a concrete

bases with a bronze platform supports (lids of drainage) and some fixed rubber stoppers.
The telescope's legs rubber terminals are retired when mounting the equipment on place, the legs spiky terminals become introduced in the orifices that the rubber stoppers have in their centers. In this way the tripod is set always in the same place and orientation.

These rubber stoppers are solidly screwed into the bronze plates. At the same time, the bronze plates are inlaid in a concrete cubic block by 40 cm side approximately. The telescope drift alignment is checked often in order to guarantee a best possible tracking.

In order not to have to carry with all of the accessory elements and a computer, I built a car with wheels using iron profiles and 5 mm width MDF agglomerate .

Here you can see the astronomy Dock Station. With this car, I could reduce my setup's time in 50 % or more.

...................

This station was manufactured with a handsaw, an electric welding machine and a drill. After the structure was created, the wood was bought and cut according to the final measures, to jump over the manufacture errors. The vertical wood separator is 1 cm width MDF to give some rigidity to the group. A couple of wheels are fixed, the others two are mad, in that way os very easy to “drive” the car.

It is necessary to block the pollution of iodine street lights, for which I utilize a dark curtains made with glued fabric that are used to preserve the home curtains from the Sunshine.

The observation on grass has a problem with the nocturnal evaporation, that increase very much the place's humidity during the night. If it is possible, is better to avoid setting up over grass.
